Throughout my life, I have been interested in all forms of art. This grew my interest in design and eventually in architecture. As a recent graduate with Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, I have been able to develop myself as a person and as a designer. I’m always eager to make my work unique by connecting multiple concepts and ideas in my designs. Thinking outside the box is the key feature of accomplishing my goals.
In my free time, I do photography and photo editing. Photography is distinctive for me because it helps me see things in a different way rather than how we see it with the naked eye. What people don’t realize about photography is that is simplifies or complicates what we see, which can change what we originally view.
These interests started when I was in high school through painting and drawing classes. They were the start of discovering this path. After these classes, I started enhancing my skills by drawing and painting in my own time. Painting and drawing helped me see different perspective and how to focus my attention to specific areas and not be distracted by the surroundings. This lead me to photography. Using these techniques, I was able to learn how to frame images. In return, photography taught me a lot about architecture in terms of light, space, and structure. I became able to see architecture through my camera lens. As a designer, it’s important for me to focus on the details of what makes the architectural framework unique.
